About Me
The Angels of God Clothing Closet was started by 15 year old Katelyn Eystad from Pitman. Her mission is to provide clothing and more to those in need at no cost. The clothing closet is set up in a storefront in Pitman where those in need can come in and shop at no cost. She started her mission July 2009 and has provided clothing to over 1000 families.
Katelyn works together with local churches, agencies, Wish Upon a Hero and shelters, for referrals of people she can help. Her sisters enjoy running the clothing closet with her.
With the way the economy is today Katelyn wants to relive the financial stress from families. She has been driven to start this organization because of her own experiences. Her Mom is a single Mother raising the girls on her own. In the past, help has been needed for her family on several occasions so she can relate to the many people in need. Katelyn enjoys giving back to the local domestic violence shelter that once helped her family. In March 2006, they had a house fire and lost items and clothing. Many friends, acquaintances, even strangers, within the next 24 hours were so kind and donated clothing and more. Katelyn wants to give back to others as they have done for her family.
To get the word out about her mission Katelyn speaks to area Churches, Youth Groups and Civic groups.
