About Me

Hi! My name is Melissa. I'm 26 years old, and I live at home with my parents and my two brothers. My mom has Degenerative Disk Disease, which basically means her back is deteriorating. She has quite a bit of pain so I help her take care of my brothers. My older brother, Kurtis, is also disabled. He was born with Spina Bifida and is paralyzed. I have Spina Bifida as well, but mine is different. I can walk most of the time, but I still have problems with my back and legs. My little brother, Jeremy, is the light of my life. Even though he gets annoying now and then, I wouldn't trade him for anything! He started life as my cousin, but he moved in with us when he was three, and my parents officially adopted him in 2008.
