About Me

Well, it's the start of a new year! Last year we were struggling pretty bad but things have finally started to look up, though we are still in for a bumpy ride. For the past month or so, we've been anxiously waiting to hear back from the housing authority, who had said they had a 2 bedroom apartment open and we were next on the list. Well, it's ours, though we are not in it yet. Yesterday, I finally got the call that it was now vacant, and renovations/new paint will take about a week more due to all the other things maintenance has been busy with due to the snow. After that we will be able to see the apartment after inspection, and be handed the keys.Next week we'll hopefully have enough to pay first month/security. Thankfully with section 8 we wont have to pay nearly as much, and rent will only be just over 400$ a month, but we can do it, I know we can. But the bump has started. A couple months ago my hubby found out his Mill was shutting down, so within this month, he will lose his job, along with everyone else, and his poor boss will be penniless :( Oddly enough we are more sad and worried about the older guys in the mill, who will leave with no pension, and little chance of getting a job again. We will find something,we're staying strong, and likely will go on unemployment when he has to leave work, and search and search as we have been for a new job.On the bright side,we're keeping our chins up, and know that we are not alone in our fight and struggle to keep going, as we know many, many others do the same every day, and plenty of them worse off then us. That's one thing that always kept us going. We knew there's always someone worse off, so we remain thankful and blessed to have what we have, even if it is just each-other and our beautiful little girls. Best wishes to all of you here on WUAH, hopefully as time goes on and we get more stable, we'll be able to pay it forward to others here, and even those who have helped us so much. Love to you all, and thank you, to those who have helped, and prayed for us, and know that we will help when we can, and pray every day for life to go smoother and happier for you all.
