About Me

I am a 49 year old mother of two adult college students. I have been disabled for the past eleven years and live off of Social Security benefits. However, I hope to be able to work again one day soon. My life is pretty simple. I have two dogs, an 8 year old terrier mix named Huey and I just inherited a 5 month old mini pinscher from my parents named Chica. My parents are at that point in their lives where they can't physically take care of a dog. But they loved her a lot and didn't want to give her to the pound. So, I volunteered. My day consists of taking care of them and keeping the house clean. In my spare time, which I currently have a lot of, I am either playing with my dogs or working in my art journal. My art journal has been a lifesaver. :)

I just moved to the area where I live and don't know anyone other than my daughter. I usually see her a couple of times a week, if her schedule permits it. My son lives an hour away. But due to car problems, I only see him a couple of times a year. (I've only seen my parents once over the past year due the car problems.) My goal is to find a part time job so I can visit my son and my parents a lot more frequently.
