About Me

My name is Angel I am visually impaired due to ROP which stands for Retinopathy of Prematurity I was born 2 1/2 months early weighing only 1 pound and 11 ounces. I am completely blind in my left eye and have 20/400 in my right. I recently got accepted into Guiding Eyes for the Blind its a guide dog school in Yorktown Heights, NY I am so excited about this opportunity that has been given to me. After I return from NY with my four legged companion we will set out into the world of working life and hopefully find a job.

I've been with my guide dog Imanya for a year now and she has been completely amazing for me and is always here for me. She recently came with me to the hospital while I fought an eating disorder called Anorexia. its a daily struggle this disease and she doesn't judge me and loves me regardless of how badly I am doing. I love her a whole lot.

I love to fill card wishes it gives me something artsy to do and get my mind of the obsessive thoughts that come with eating disorders.

I have an amazon wishlist setup of items that people have recommended I get to help me fight this battle. and also ones that I would love to help enjoy cooking with my new conventional oven.

I do a lot of volunteer work the my local blind association here in Indiana. they served me from the time I was a baby until now so now I am giving back to them by volunteering. I am doing a fashion show for them on tuesday I will be one of the models in the show put on my Carolyns Fashions. Its such a great time and a wonderful organization to support. I love them.
