About Me

I served 8 years in the Army & returned home after a year deployment in Mosul Iraq (2010 to 2011). I was awarded a CIB (Combat Infantry Badge) & The Army Commendation Medal for my service while deployed. I provided convoy support throughout Iraq and involved in a number of firefights and subsequently injured when my vehicle was directly hit with an IED.

As a result I now suffer from a TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury), PTSD, Migraines, Tinnitus, Depression,Loss of Sense of Smell & Taste, Injury to my Shoulder & Arm & Both Knees causing Limited Motion & Nerve Damage as well as Arthritis.

Upon my return home the position I held prior to my deployment was no longer available due to a company layoff. My injuries have prevented me from working as I suffer from Debilitating Cluster Headaches and Migraines.Currently I am rated 40% with the VA and still awaiting decisioning on the remainder of the claim/injuries.

I have been married since 2007 & have a 8 yr old son. I enjoy astronomy & going to shooting range.

My wife lost her job of 5 yrs due to a company wide reduction in workforce layoff at the begining of the year and has yet to obtain full time employment. With new State Unemployment Laws & changes with Congress our Unemployment Benefits are now exhausted. This has caused a major financial strain on us and we face eviction & utility shut off on a monthly basis now. We were forced to sell off most of our belongings in order to stay afloat and many days we have had to sleep in our vehicle and didnt have any food to eat.
