Provide cat & kitten rescue, foster care, spay/neuter and adoptions. I pull the cats from shelters and local animal control when they are out of time and need a second chance, and remove them from the community when they are being trapped to kill or shot. I have had 30 adoptions in just the last month, and often waive the fee because all I really want is for them to have a home. I provide care whether they are nice or wild and find homes where they will be happy. In addition, I work with all the local animal welfare groups and animal control shelters to assist in the overload that would normally be put to sleep. Special needs kitty's are assisted also such as Lombardi (pictured above) who has a twisted back leg. If I can't help them, I will drive them to a rescue that is no kill and can help them find a home. That's why a car is so imperative. Although I have been doing this for the last 10 years with my own money and occasional donations, I am just starting my own non profit "Halfway Home" because that is what I always consider the cats to be. Once I am non-profit, the program will provide for itself. I would appreciate any assistance from help with the deductible to supplies needed to foster. Thank you for caring enough to read this.
