About Me

Married for 17 years and blessed with two amazing sons. I work as a CNA in a nursing home and my husband is disabled. He has a brain tumor that came from a car accident several years ago. In 1999 he went to the ER because of a horrible headache and our lives changed forever. His tumor had grown and was causing hydrocephalus he immediately had surgery and had to have a shunt placed in his brain. The doctor had told us he had only seen a few of these tumors in his life and it was a miracle it wasn't cancer. But over the next several years my husband would have to undergo more and more surgery. He developed a clot in the tubing, his stomach rejected the tubing and fluid, and several times had to go in because of the shunt getting infected. All in all he has had over 40 surgeries since the very first one in '99. He has had strokes and seizures because of this and our sons are troopers and help when they are needed and try not to ask for things they know they cannot have because of money difficulties.
