About Me

My name is Shannon and I am a SAHM of 3 kids. Caleb 13 and Aubrey 7 and now little Zoey who was born in Oct 2012.

Life hasn't been easy since Caleb's birth in July of 1999 he was born with his right foot clubbed. He spent the first 2 yrs of his life in and out of the hospital for castings, braces, shoes, and 2 surgeries to try to correct it. To this day his right foot is a size smaller than his good foot and its made him really clumsy at times. At age 3 he was diagnosed with learning and speech problems. but his biggest battle was at age 4 1/2 when he was diagnosed with Acute Lymphocrytic Leukemia. He spent 3 1/2 yrs dealing with chemotherapy. Now he is dealing with the long term affects of the chemo. He is borderline diabetic. He has Eczema from the Methotrexate,loss of mobility in his hands from the Vincristine. He has short term memory loss as well. He see's a number of specialists oncologist, endocrinologist, and occupational therapist, speech therapy as well as Resource when he's at school. And in Dec of 2009 he was diagnosed Absense Seizsures.
My oldest daughter at 2 weeks old started having seizures and battles back and forth with reflux. Which thankfully has cleared. Aubrey is a very imaginative and bright child. Recently she was diagnosed with ADHD with high impulse and has been on medication that has helped a lot since starting it.

Life has changed big time for me and the kids. I am pregnant with my 3rd and just got done going through a divorce back in Dec of 2011. I ended up falling in love with my best friend who was there with me from before I decided to separate from my ex. We just had a daughter Oct 17th. And are planning to get married by the end of this year. We both are students, I am working on 2 AAs one for liberal arts and the other for Social behavior, Ryan is currently working on his LVN certification.

We are raising my 3 children and dealing with life as its thrown at us.
