My name is Roxanne, For the last 10years I have been volunteering and saving dogs that needed saving. I have 5 disabled dogs that no one would adopt(I did!). I have paid for other peoples vet bills so their animals would live, I have paid for vet bills for people whose animals were suffering and could no longer live a happy life. Now I am one of those people who needs that help. I have a dog by the name of Patches, I flew him to Colorado from Guatamala January 2010. He had been severely abused on the streets of Guatamala. Patches was just a puppy when some people did awful things to him resulting in one injury that is very obvious, his front leg twisted and broken in multiple places all the way to his shoulder(you can see his leg in my profile picture). When Patches came to me his leg had healed in this deformed but usable way, he was emaciated, ridden with parasites, and had severe mange. I nursed him back to health only to have him start bleeding profusely from his nose last summer. He required a transfusion, multiple tests, he stayed in the hospital for 4 days then was referred to a specialist some 130 miles away. I took him to the specialist who needs to do a rhinoscopy and CT to hopefully determine what is wrong with him. I have spent over $4000 on tests, hospitalization and medicines that have not worked. He is currently on one medicine that has until recently controlled his bleeding. His nose bleeds are becoming daily and at times very heavy. I need help raising $3000 to get the rhinoscopy and CT done, I have approximately $2000 of my own money saved towards this procedure but I cannot continue to wait. I don't want to lose Patches to something that can be fixed if I had more money....
