About Me

Im a Single Mom of 2 Children. A Thoughtful Young Lady, age 16 Yrs & A Sweet Boy that is 10 Yrs! Ive been going thru a "nasty" divorce for 3 Years. I've always been a "stay at home" mom since my children were young. With the brutality of the divorce & trying to be independant, I want to better me for My Children & Myself! This Year, I would like to start school to become a CNA. I want to do something with MY Life! I enjoy spending time w/My Family, reading, gardening, beach & bowling. I have a "greenthumb". I moderate a Group (similar to "freecycle") on Yahoo for swapping &/OR giving away Plants, gardening items, seeds, etc. My Friends say I am a Kind, Open-Hearted & Caring Woman! I don't think I ever meet a stranger :) I feel as if Everyone goes through a rough time at some point in their lives! My friends know they can come to me if they need help or if they know of someone that needs help. I keep a binder that is filled with resources to help w/ many different things.-(Shelters to Food Banks to Clothing Closets to Social Services & more!) I call it My Resource Book. Ive used this to help so many People that Ill soon be making a new 1 because of the worn & torn pages! Though I'm not in a situation to help much financially, I will give whatever else I can to help anyone..No matter if its giving resource information OR finding new resource info. I'll go to Friends & ask for their help putting a Food Box/Hygiene Basket together, gathering up Gently Used Clothing or trying to help a very needy Family at Christmas. I think Im like this because of The Family I come from. When I was growing up, I remember My Mom & Grandma helping others when They could barely get by themselves! With My Grandma gone for many years now, my mom, sister & I enjoy passing this "family kindness" on to My Kids, Nieces & Nephew. When someone told me about WUAH, I was very excited to know this site existed! I like to say "You never know what You have that could help another!"
