I am so excited to be a part of this group. When I was young, my mom and I had a lot struggles as I have a rare lung condition and was not expected to live. She and the rest of my family always made everything as wonderful as possible for us both. Along the way, we have made some wonderful friends that helped us tremendously. Now, my family and friends are my biggest love; I am happily married; my mother is still my hero. I feel blessed and want to share blessings with others.
JUNE 2011:
I am back and excited to be here again! I've moved to FL for a lung transplant hopefully but had a stroke along the way in November of 2010. Just another challenge to overcome. I'll be fine! Happy to be back here and grateful to be able to still help others as much as I can.
I look at this site as an opportunity to "pay back" all those who helped us when I was younger and just to give to those who may need a little help. I don't have a lot but I would love to share some of what I do have.
UPDATE JULY 2012:
My stroke rehab went so well that I am not currently a candidate for a lung transplant because my lungs are too strong/healthy for transplant at this time. So we have moved back to GA to be near family and more friends. We will be forever grateful for all our friends and care in FL. I will continue to go back about once a year so the transplant center can check on my status.

I still believe that, sometimes, all it takes to make a person's day, year, or whole life better and more fulfilled is one kind act, deed, or word by one person.
