My name is Deborah, I have 2 grandsons both are high functioning Autistic. I'm very proud of them. I'll be 54 in December, I am a Christian. I have a lot of medical problems, I think too many to list here and you probably don't want to read about them anyway. Inspite of all, I am a person that trys to maintain a positive outlook on life. Some of you know I have a Dachsund. A couple weeks ago (7/26/09) she started acting a little different and was terrified of going down the stairs which never bothered her before. I started watching her and did a couple of things to her that should have made her blink, She didn't So I took her to her vet and found out that she is blind. I was so sad, still am but learning how to teach her to trust and depend on me more. So I guess my new job is being a seeing eye person for my baby. I really do like everyone, and feel that everyone especially the elderly and young children have somthing to say and have a right too be heard. So I listen to a lot of stories, And they are good stories. I always stand up for kids and elderly people. I have been told I have a good since of humor. I am very outspoken which gets me into trouble. Sometimes I am saying the complete truth when someone asks my opinbion and I end up hurting feelings. But I am working on being truthful with a little more tact. So if by chance I hurt some feelings, Please know I didn't mean to do it.
