I WISH My daughter could have a voice again

My daughter (who is 24 & developmentally delayed) has a trach and is having trouble talking due to scar tissue on her vocal cords. She will be having surgery to re-construct her airway & hopefully fix this problem, but it will leave her with no voice for 3 months during the healing process. There is a device through Digital Voice Technoogies called an MV-1000 which sells for $398.00 (including the software) that would give her a way to communicate. Insurance will not cover it because it is a temporary condition. I am a single mom and do not have the income to do this for her. If someone could purchase this for us, or maybe has or knows of someone who has a communication device we could borrow that would be great.

    wow I am so delighted that this wish is featured....wonderful job guys on working on this for this wonderful family. I personally know this family and had the honors of meeting them. She is a tru sweetheart and as a matter of fact I had asked her to join Wuah some time back.....God is good and thank you guys for working on this wish...every call helps, every action may lead to someones happiness or a simple act of kindness makes the world go round!!!!

    I will place the offer to grant once I have the Palm taken care of. This is an interesting story how this software came about. The owner of this company has a non verbal 13 year old Autistic Child he and a friend developed this software for his son... Once you purchase the software they send you a key code and you hot sync the software off their web site to the Palm. I will keep you posted on my progress with the Palm...

    I am a social worker at a University Hospital here in NJ, I deal with multple vendors of trach supplies, I would be happy to ask for some assistance from them, can you end me your info so I can try to have one donated for her use.
