Help! a.s.a.p.!!

Hello W.U.A.H. family I need help! I have a roommate to reduce the costs of living. I live on a very small fixed income. I depend entirely on food stamps to feed me and my family. My roommate has been eating up all our food and I have an 8 year old daughter to care for. I cannot keep anything in the refrigerator in the kitchen, without it being taken or used. Talking with her is useless, she denies it. Writing our names on our food has not stopped her from taking our food. The only solution I can think of is to have a mini fridge in my locked bedroom. I don't have any money to purchase one though. My financial situation is pretty bleak. Food Stamps are going to be available to us on the 5th and I have no way of keeping milk or eggs or butter. Please Help Us! We need a Hero A.S.A.P.!!!

I am not particular of color, or brand name, or even if it's used. I need it to be in good working order though, and it needs to be as big as I can get, to save on numerous trips to the store that I can't afford.

@chichird. I would too if my room wasn't so small. I'm lucky to be able to fit a twin size bed in here. my room is 9x7. @mommie817 thank you. @mr realtor there is no giving 2nd chances to someone who would selfishly take food from the mouth of a child. @acorngirl thank you. ANYONE READING THIS, CAN YOU PLEASE PASS THIS LINK AROUND! And can someone tell me if my walmart wishlist comes up from the link I posted below? I listed several mini fridges (different prices& sizes), any of which I would be grateful for.

If this is your place and she is renting from you, give her a 30 day notice to leave and when she cries about it, maybe give her one more chance. She probably thinks you won't kick her out so just be firm and show her you will not play games. I cannot believe this person is taking your food and then flat out denying it. What a bum! Good Luck!!!

i misread what you said, she has filled the freezer, i'm sure taking her stuff out in an effort to make ice cubes would be a reason for her to get volatile with me which I am trying to avoid. she acts as if it is her house, and bombards every available space

thank you for the suggestions acorngirl, im afraid i wouldn't be able to afford the cost of ice right now. don't even own a cooler. the roommate needs to move out, or we need to, to get away from her. but right now this is a more solvable solution. moving is very expensive. when and if i can move again, I will NEVER have a roommate again. this has been a terrible experience!

I truly hope you find fridge heroes; I wish I were in a position to help but can't right now.

A suggestion- just in case you don't find heroes right away- can you use a cooler and keep filling it with ice cubes made in your freezer?

I realize that this is NOT a good long term solution, but maybe it could get you through for a week or two. We had to do this for a week when our fridge died last year, and also during several extended power failures.

You really have my sympathy- some friends of mine went through something very similar with a roommate a while back. It's horrible having to share space with someone who steals. Hopefully down the road you can find a better roommate.

i'm praying hard for this one. we are hungry .. stomachs hurt and to think i cant even keep our food in the house because someone who has more than enough money is taking from not only my mouth but my daughters. it's just disgusting.
