In January of 2007, at age 13, 7th grader Kevin McGuire was diagnosed with ALL, a type of Leukemia. He went through treatment never questioning why him. He remained strong, brave and positive. In the Spring of 2010, he was declared cancer-free! However, just a couple weeks ago, it was discovered that at age 18, Kevin's leukemia has returned. Again, he hasn't question why him. This kid is a fighter and a hero. He is known by many as a real live Superman. His sister started a grassroots effort for his one wish: Kevin McGuire would like to be accompanied to his senior prom by Taylor Swift! I know no one that deserves this more than Kevin. He stayed strong through 2 cancer diagnoses. He has played a variety of sports in high school, including Varsity football at Sterling High in Somerdale, NJ. He is known by many in his family, friends, and community as an extremely caring, congenial young man with a heart of gold. He would do anything for anyone without even being asked. I really feel through teamwork and effort, Kevin's dream can come true! He is my cousin, my friend, my hero, and my Superman!!
