Birthday Cards for Friend With Terminal Cancer (May 28)

Hello. My name is Cheryl. I've been an official wish granter for several organizations for many years. In addition to granting wishes, I would like to request a wish.

My friend's husband, Charles, was diagnosed with advanced stage IV colon cancer in July 2010. The cancer spread throughout his body. He has lost so much weight, is unable to eat and his pain has been constant. He will be entering hospice. He is a veteran, husband and father of 4. His 25-year old son passed away suddenly in January 2012 from injuries sustained in Iraq 4-1/2 years ago. The family has been struggling financially for years, and they continue to struggle with co-pays, medications, treatments and everyday living expenses.

As this will probably be his last birthday, my wish is for Charles to receive as many birthday cards and/or cards of support, comfort and encouragement as possible for his birthday, which is fast approaching on May 28th (Memorial Day). If you are in a position to do so and would like to include something additional (a donation, giftcard or surprise), I know that would truly make a difference and Charles would be so appreciative. Dear josieboo: I am so very sorry for your lose of Jolene. She was way too young to have stage IV breast cancer. I'm sure she was beautiful, full of grace. She is an angel, watching over you and your family. God bless you for raising such a wonderful girl. Her faith saw her through. Praying for your family. May God heal and comfort you.

I would be honored to send a card. In October we lost our angel Jolene to Stage IV breast cancer at the age of 25. She too had grace, beauty and a smile on her face.....all the way to the end. She had so much faith in gods plan and did not question it
