Having a hard time accepting my new diagnosis

I am a 29 yr old mother of a 3yr old girl and 12 yr old boy. I feel like Im falling apart both physically and emotionally and am just having a hard time accepting that I have Multiple Sclerosis. I was diagnosed on Sept 14 2011 and I havent been the same since I got out of the hospital. I went blind out of one eye (thank god i got my sight back), I cant be ouside in the heat for long as it makes symtoms worse, I have numb hands which have already gotten bad enough that I cant do most of the things I use to be able to do, my legs are getting pretty bad considering I have wrecked one car and almost did it a second time. Its just very depressing that I cant do for my kids like I use to. I did try to make some homeade paint and play dough, which was a big hit with my little girl, so that made me feel a little better!! Ihave to give myself a shot everyday and I cant help but cry every time it come to the time to do it. Im trying my hardest to accept this disease but its so hard.I thought I would see if I could get some heros to help me do a sticker project with my kids. I want to get any and all kinds of stickers from all over. I thought since I still have some use of my hands, that I can help with alot of sticker fun with the 2 most important people in my life. Thanks to all who took the time to read my wish

Although our illnesses are different I can understand what you are feeling losing the use of your body. I also can not fully accept my diagnosis, but that may be what keeps us fighting to "prove" everyone wrong :)I also have a 3 year old and we enjoy sticker activities. I would be more than happy to share them with you. Please PM me your mailing info.

i also have MS and it is quite challenging. I pray that you find peace and regain the feeling in your hands and such.. I went through a very long period of time where symptoms stayed with me such as a prickly numb thumb on my right hand and was very annoying and thankfully it finally did go away. Praying for you.

My sister was recently diagnosed with MS also. She said that there are many treatment options out there currently with a few other very promising clinical trials that are in research. Maybe ask your Dr for a referral for a Dr who specializes in MS. That way your symptoms can be managed and hopefully you can get back to almost normal with the correct medicines. Good Luck.
