My name is Alex Garner. I am an 18 year old single mom of a 3 month old, Gracelynn Garner. I had Gracelynn on March 22, 2012. She was not breathing when she was born, the umbilical cord was wrapped around her neck twice. The had resecitated her, praise God! When she started breathing her heart rate was unsafely high. She was also taken to the NICU for 2 and a half weeks. She got to come home on Easter:). She was sent home on high blood pressure medicine, has to go get her blood pressure taken once a week, and kidney specialist dr appointments 30 minutes away.
I have just left an abusive relationship and because of him i don't have anything. He was not the father of little Gracie, but he controlled us both. I was not able to have a job, he would not allow me to. I left him May 25th, and now i have a job that pays decent. But, the problem i have is i dont have reliable transportation, and where i live they don't have public transportatioin. My goals are to get a car, be able to get back and forth to work and doctors appointments, get my GED, get my own place for Gracie and I, and be able to start college in the fall. The only thing holding me back is not having a car. It would be an answer to my prayers to get a car, one that is baby safe. I just want to give my baby girl the life she deserves. My ambitions may be a little out there for the amount of time i have set, but i have to start somewhere. So i am desperately asking for a car. If anyone could please, it would be very much appreciated!
