To help my daughter with her summer reading program at school

Hi heros,

My daughter who is going into the 3rd grade this fall is having a summer reading program/fundraiser.

It's call I scream for reading. What it is is she has to keep track of how many hours she reads and mark it down on the little book mark and she also sets a reading goal for herself. Her goal is to read over 100 hrs. And then she gets people to sponser her.

Well school has been out for about 3 weeks now and she has already read 55 hrs. She loves to read, and since it has been extermely hot here in Michigan that's all she has been doing. She is a very smart little girl, she may only be going into 3rd grade but she reads at an 9th grade level.

So my wish is to get a bunch of people to sponser her for the fundraiser. She has already gotten 45 dollars in sponsers. And to make it more fun my dad said he'll match whatever amount she makes from other sponsers.

Thank u for helping my daughter reach her goal. She read over 175 hrs this summer and received just over 100 dollars in sponsors. Thank u once again

The money is for her school. They won't be having a fundraiser until next spring. So they are doing this reading fundraiser for the summer to encourage kids to read and raise money for the school at the same time. It is something new that they are trying out.

I forgot to mention she has a local children's author sponsering her also. We know this author and he has 2 books out so far and they are both amazing books.
