Need a new harness for my service dog

My name is Monica and I have a mobility service
dog to help me get around. The harness he wears to help me was an inexpensive (if you can call $100 inexspensive!) pre-made model and does not fit him properly. He has even begun backing away when he sees me get his harness. A well fitting, custom made harness is $395. That's incredibly prohibitive to me as I am unable to work and my mom, who is my sole provider at this point, lost her job. If you're local, I'd be more than willing to help with any dog training (my career before my disability) in return for help with my wish.

Have you checked with Vocational Rehabilitation in your state? Often times they will help pay for it. Manny Ginger: The problem with those other harness are they are not ergonomically correct for all dogs. Some dogs are built differently and need the customization. Further, most of the harnesses at those prices are soft harnesses, which do not allow for mobility/brace work from the dog. I too am looking to acquire a harness from Bold Designs....I am looking at their harness for light brace/guide work, which would also be an acceptable wheelchair pulling harness. For years I used Bridgeport Leather harnesses(and still would if it could be more customized, and modified to fit my Rottwielers)....

I just did a quick search online and found harnesses for mobility starting at 29.95. What specific harness do you need?

You should try a Wonder Harness. I have one for my dog and it works great! And it was only like $35.

you should give the dog a treet when you try to put the harness on so he looks at t he experience as a good one
