A Few Groceries

Hello Heroes,

Sadly as always seems to be the case the past two years, groceries take a hit after everything is paid. So very frustrating with little we can do to help it along, though we work hard at taking care of ourselves we always seem to have to break down and ask for help, which we completely despise. My wish is for a bit of assistance for the next few days with a few groceries? My sincere apologies for posting this wish yet again, I wish I had another option then to come here. We would be grateful for anything, care packages, gift cards to Walmart, Giant or Weis, my paypal is Clovers1863@aol.com or simply prayers and kind words as they mean so very much. Butterflymommy, please do not apologize, you do help simply by your kind words. Things are so tough for everyone, I don't think our own Government see's those who are falling through the cracks. Yes, this is me and my husband in the picture, it was taken at the WUAH Gala 3 years ago. I could not agree with you more, I think the entire Guideline System needs to be changed to include those of us in the Middle Bracket. I hope things ease for you as well very soon!! It really is a shame that there isn't more assistance. Many people fall through the cracks do to being over but, so many barely make it on what they do make. I honestly, truly believe that they need to do an overhall on income guidelines.

I'm paying back a little over $300 for a food stamp overpayment from over a year ago. We don't qualify right now even though our annual income is well under the government guidelines so I have to pay it back a little at a time in cash. The worker told me that if we qualify again, they would take it out of whatever we do qualify for but, it's going to be a few months before we qualify again.

I really hope that you do find more heroes and I'm sorry that I am not able to help you.

Thank you all for your kind words and prayers. Bringellahome, we have received a few things from our local food bank & our church but not enough to really get by, I am sad to say. ButterflyMommy, thank you! We have been denied at every turn for any help. Our caseworker at the Hospital now has taken all the Medical to the State herself for a review because there is so much & with more surgery expected. We do not qualify for any Food Assistance, or any other forms of State Assistance because our income is over their guidelines yet is not enough to take care of everything including all the medical, two years of fighting this is so tiring. I am so grateful for each of you with your kindness & prayers, they mean the world to me. Many Blessings to all, Shari

i hope you get your "wish" but in the mean time have you checked out your local food bank.... they are really helpful and will give you a little extra. if you have more than one in your area you can go to all of them once a month at least around here...
