Birthday Blessings for Alexis...soon to be 14 years old.

I am wishing for heroes for many birthday blessings for my daughter Alexis. She will be 14 years old on August 19th. She is a super funny and very smart little lady. She loves to play soccer and is asthmatic...but doesn't let that stop her. She LOVES to read and LOVES Harry Potter. She has been picked on and bullied at school the last 2 years as she is short and stocky and always has a book in her hands. Last school year she got her hair permed after saving her own money from babysitting for almost a year. She looked adorable and LOVED her hairstyle. The kids at school started calling her "wormy" short for book worm and due to her perm. She doesn't let it stop her. She says one day in the future those kids will be serving me as I drive my BMW through McDonald's because I am going to be somebody...my future is bright! I admire her attitude, humor, and desire to seek God's will in her life. She has a faith that is truly inspirational. Being that I am disabled and been in a wheelchair much of her life, she has a very caring spirit. My wish for her is to have the funds to get her another perm before school starts. Maybe some cards of inspiration. I know in her heart of hearts she is wishing for a new (new to us) desktop computer or laptop as our home computer got the blue screen of death last month after 12 years of service. She loves her computer as she has christian friends she keeps in touch with from camp. She has a writing blog for teens where she writes her own stories. She also loves animals and is a member of youth in training for K9 dogs online as she dreams of being a sheriff/animal control officer when she grows up. Please consider being a hero for my daughter, Alexis, and help make a difference in her life. Thank you for reading my wish and may you be blessed in many ways!

Just a note to say Thank You for being so generous and making my daughter have a wonderful birthday. It is people like each of you that make a difference in other people's lives. Thank you all for the kinds words of support, encouragement, and love for Alexis and me too! As I have been asked from a couple of heroes I have made a Walmart wish list for Alexis....it includes dreams/ideas for not only her birthday but back-to-school items as well as getting a headstart on Christmas...basically as I think of things she likes/needs/wants I add it so I can remember later...lol. You tell that pretty young lady of yours to hold her book loving head high!!! My daughter was just like that at your's age...she got picked on also...but she didn't care...and her positive attitude and hard work finally paid off...This May, she graduated from law school, with her juris doctorate,and found an exceptionally well paying job with a wonderful firm....Wishing your dear bookworm a wonderful and blessed birthday...and sending her a word of advice I used to give to my own daughter...let them make fun of your looks...looks are fleeting, and eventually will be gone...that brain you are building will never go away, and will take you further than their looks will ever take them!!!
