Butterflies

I am wishing for butterflies.

My daughter's 10th birthday is next month.

For those that don't already know, she passed away an hour after her birth. She was so loved and so wanted, but she just couldn't stay. I almost can't breathe to think that it has really been ten years.

This site is my way to honor her and, for me, "her" place. Every wish I've ever granted has been for her. I try so hard to keep her memory alive, because that is all I can still do as her Mom.

She is my butterfly. Schmetterling means butterfly. I put butterflies on all the cards I send and wishes I grant. I fill my life with butterflies to keep her close at heart. Butterflies are her thing and mine, too. Every year we release butterflies on her birthday. This year was going to be really special because we were going Stateside to visit her grave for the release. But I had to have surgery and not only did we cancel our trip, I haven't had the energy or time to grow the butterflies.

So instead, I would like to ask my WUAH family to help me celebrate her birthday.

My wish is for butterflies. Any kind, anything "butterfly." A drawing, card, photo, anything you want to send. If you can't send something, that is ok. If you see a butterfly fluttering around, just take a second to think of my girl. Or send me a message next month and let me know that you remember her with me.
Please help me celebrate and remember my Jillian, any way you can. It would mean the world to me.

Thank you all so much for making my daughter's birthday extra special. We spent all yesterday morning going through her mail and looking and each thing you sent. It was really nice to have reasons to smile and help celebrate her day. Thank you all so much for your thoughtfulness and love!

I breaks my heart to read your wish i am sorry about JULLIAN i love butterflies too at the time i can only say i am heartbroken i hope you do ok with your sugery i had that done at 23 i was not easy i love your wish and everytimes i see a butterfly i will think of your darling little girl i pray you you get along good after surgery sorry i cant send nothing i live month to month butterflies are beauitful,free and everone loves them GOD BLESS
