I am a 31 year old single working mother of 2 wonderful little
girls, my 10 year old daughter (who has a birthday coming up in
less than 4 weeks), as well as my 14 year old sister (whom I've had
legal custody/guardianship of since I was 18 years old) due to drug
addiction and legal issues of my parents. My daughters father was
recently in a terrible car accident which almost killed him, but
luckily he survived. Because of the car accident I was made aware
of the fact that he has also been heavily involved in drugs and the
drugs are what ultimately caused the accident. He is away getting
help for his addiction in a long term facility, but I am left with
a financial mess because of all of this. I have been unable to pay
my rent this month (and I will be a 2nd month behind in a couple
days). I am on the verge of having my electric disconnected any
time now (He appartently wasn't paying the bill, but rather was
feeding his addiction). I would never ask for a hand out and it
would take a mircle to get out of this whole I'm in, I just need to
be able to keep my home going and keep things as normal and
positive as possible for my girls sake. Also I was diagnosed with
epilepsy about 2 years ago when I began having seizures, which has
caused me to no longer be able to drive and limits my ability to do
many things (one of my episodes caused me to fall and hit my head
so hard that it has caused me to have terrible short-term memory
loss, which causes terrible anxiety and embarressment). My hours at
work have also drastically decreased. I am very appreciative to
anyone that can point me in the right direction on how to get
things back on track, I have always worked my tail off to provide
for my family, but my back is against the wall at the moment and
it's scary. If there were anyone that could help me out of this
situation I would forever be indebted to you. Thank you for taking
the time to read this. I know this is a lot to ask, I'm just at a
loss right now.
