I know most kids dread school. They can't wait to be done, for
summer to come, etc. I'm twenty years old, and all I want to do is
to go back to school. After graduating high school, I made the (now
obvious) huge mistake of going to a community college. I do not
mean to offend anyone who has attended or currently is attending a
community college, but I don't think it was the right fit for me.
The community college that I chose is nowhere near exceptional. I'm
not challenged, and it frustrates me. Also, they do not have the
field that I am going into. However, I chose to attend this
community college, and it has proven to be a very poor decision.
Still, I've attempted to work hard so that I can continue my
education and once finished with community college, move onto
something that fits me better. Unfortunately, bad luck has struck
me. On the first day of the spring semester, I became ill with
kidney stones. Being in screaming pain until it passed, I missed
nearly two weeks of my classes. Being as I was enrolled in science
courses that required labs, I found it would be difficult to
complete the course with the missed labs, remain on top of my
school work, and still pass with a good grade. I brought in doctors
notes to my school, explained my situation, and asked to drop the
science courses and take up two online classes which had not yet
started. I was allowed to do so, but as a result, my financial aid
was taken away. I now cannot go back to school until it is paid
off. It is not paid off by December, I will be turned into a
collection agency, and will be unable to go to school anywhere. I'm
really a very intelligent girl. I work hard, and my education is
very important to me. I've discussed my situation several times
with different people at the college, but I am unable to receive
any help. I hate having to ask others for help, but please, if you
could help in any way, I would appreciate it to no end. Thank you.
