I am wishing for someone that works at the LADWP that has
compassion and can help approve a payment plan so that I can get
water on at my home....
I have tried everyone that I can think of to ask for help - I have
spent about 40 hours on the phone trying to find someone that can
help, every help line, family, friends, I even when to LA
Supervisor Zev Yaroslavsky & Mitch Ingers & the LA Consumer
Affairs Office - they are not able to get anywhere. I originally
asked for money in another wish that I posted - but I really don't
want the money, I just want to work something out to pay my bill
with the DWP and am hoping that someone here maybe knows
someone?
I am the mother of 5 & 1 grandbaby. We do ok - BUT on Monday
7/23 - my water was shut off. I called to find out why and it turns
out that my son (older) was going to pay for the DWP bill to help
me out - (I was having medical issues and had to have surgery and
then we discovered that my 17 year old daughter two HUGH tumors! We
had them removed and with them they had to take all but 30% of her
overaries out at well! Both surgeries put me in the hole - so he
was to help out with the water/power bill. BUT he was not paying it
(he did not have the money and did not want to tell me - he did not
want to stress me out) and now I have no water on (Power should be
off soon too) and a $4500 bill!! I have called the DWP to work with
me - I will pay the bill, I just don't have that kind of money! The
best that I can do is get them to lower it to $3800 payable NOW
before they will turn back on the water!! and they are just not
working with me! It will take me about 4 - 6 months to come up with
that kind of money (and still be able to pay the other bills and
eat) - so they tell me that i will have to go without water till
then!!
We are on day 7 and everyone needs a shower clean clothes and I
need to wash dishes! PLEASE, PLEASE HELP ME! I can not go much
longer with out the water on.
