Diabetes Supplies

Please help!? I am type 2 diabetic and have no income or insurance. My doctor is chewing me out because I am not taking readings like I am supposed to. I have tried every avenue I could to get supplies, most that give you free only give a monitor with 10 strips. My wish is for some test strips (at least 6 mo worth)to go in a Oracle Monitor. The monitor was given to me with 100 strips but 50 of them have expired before I could use them as they were right at their exp. date when I received them. Csn anyone help me with this request please??? Thanks.

Try shopping on ebay for strips. People often sell their extras for less than 1/2 of the retail price.

If expired fairly recently, they are still good. My son has used them expired before and they work just as well. I do wish you much luck though and hope you find many heroes.

Have you tried www.rxassist.com (or .org)? You can look up your prescriptions there, see if there is a free med program, and print out the forms or info you may need to apply. If you have a local diabetes association, you might see if they can help as well.
