for Help for my friend and her son

My son has a very good friend that was assaulted by a bully. After all was said and done, he lost 9 of his adult teeth, and needs another $35,000.00 in dental work. Her insurance will only cover $1,500.00 per year. His mom, my friend, has started a fundraiser, to raise the money for Chandler to have the dental work he needs. Please read Chandler and Shelly's story. He is a wonderful kid, and she is a great mom.

The last comment did not post correctly. I guess copy and paste does not work so well. Shelly and Chandler do not qualify for any kind of victim assistance. It makes me so mad for them. Accident, or not, the other party should pay. Had the same kid thrown a rock through Shelly's windshield, he or his family would be expected to pay for it, right? But, I am going to put my energy into prayer and getting the word out, and helping her get help for him. I know how hard it is to be a teenager. I can't imagine adding to that, with what he is having to go through. *sigh*
PS. ANOTHER $140.00 in donations for his cause!!!! Woot!

"They were told by the juvenile office that because charges were not brought up against the teen who did it that we would not qualify for that fund ……they felt tthe teen didn’t do it with malicious intent . They felt it was "horseplay gone wrong " which makes no sense ……I was so sick over that."

This is awful! Was a police report was filed for this assault so the person who did this to Chandler will be held responsible? If you are going through the courts, check to see if they have a victim rights advocate that can assist this young man with some financial aid.

Toni, thank you so much for setting this up. Chandler has just become an echo of his former self. Not only did this assault hurt him, physically, but mentally as well. He is so sad that I just want to see him smile again. Thank you Toni, for setting this up for him.
