financial help needed for 16 yr old cousin & family after devistating car crash

Our family could really use any kind of help they could get right now my 16 yr old cousin Cody was recently in a car crash. His neck was broken and has left him paralyzed from neck down and he is currently on a breathing machine they have moved him from our local hospital to a rehabilitation center 2 hours away because the hospital does not have the proper equipment to take care of him.

Cody was driving home from volenteer work for our Lansing Festival we have downtown each year when he lost control of his car. His parents have to be at the hospital with him constently becauase he is still in critical condition so they are unable to work right now. they take turns going home to take care of things and their own personal needs. Insurance is helping with the medical bills but him being 2 hours away from home his parents really need support in the cost of being away from home. Any kind of help in the way of gas cards, food cards, store cards for personal care and of course cash would be greatly appreciated and put to good use.

Cody is a very sweet kid who has overcome alot of physical challenges even before the accident. Cody was born missing a bone in one of his arms and without a thumb on the hand missing the forarm bone. He had to undergo several surgeries as a child to make his arm functionalble. Even with his challenges Cody found a way to live and function as any other child did. Cody has beaton the odds once before and we are praying for the miracle that he can do it again.

Please help Cody and his family!!! Any support is welcomed!!! and always appreciated.

I am sorry I do not have a current photo of Cody in the hospital currently only his parents and siblings are allowed in to see him. When I am allowed I will get one. For now I have to use one from his face book photo's.

I'm so sorry to hear of this tragic accident. I will keep him and his family in our thoughts and prayers and hope that God keeps a close watch over him and makes him get better very soon. Take care and know others are thinking and wishing him get well wishes.
