a little comfort and support...

It feels selfish to wish for myself but I've lost many loved ones and miss the comfort of thier support in my life. Don't get me wrong, I am blessed to have my daughter with me and a boyfriend who visits on weekends, but there are spaces in the heart that can't be filled. I'm disabled & agoraphobic, so it's hard to get out much. It's easier to encourage others rather than yourself. With the help of therapy, I'm learning to give myself more credit, pat myself on the back, and feel less misunderstood. I'm giving that "little girl inside" a big hug. I'm a survivor now, not a victim, but some news stories still hit a nerve. I'd like to write a memoir to help others and it's self-heaing at the same time I'm told. My wish is for support & encouragement through comments, prayers or a card if you can. I've included my wishlist because there is a coffee & tea on it that I'd love to try. Funny how we hesitate to buy ourself the smallest thing. This wish is a step for me and you've helped already by reading it. Thank you so much. God Bless you, Gidget

I am overjoyed today to see the mama&papa birds taking care of thier 2 baby cardinals that fell out of the nest yesterday. I put them in a baseball cap and hung it next to the weakened nest in my large lilac bush. I wasn't sure it would work, but am so glad to see it has! I have a good view outside my bedroom window and it just pleases the heck out of me. I was pretty worried & upset about it. I just wanted to share that... :)
