My Daughter's 4th Birthday Wish...Please Make Her Wish Come True!

Granted by Heroes: angel1984, Ricochet, Diane29592, kimbaker
Hi, my name is Jamie. I have two children and both my husband and I work hard, but we don't make very much money. I want more than anything in this world to be able to give my children everything they want, but most of the time we can't even afford to pay our bills or put gas in our car. I am so tired of telling my daughter "not today, Mommy and Daddy don't have any money." It's so sad that we drove past an ice cream shop a few weeks ago and my 3 year old says "there's the ice cream place, but we can't go there cause we don't have any money." Broke my heart...I can't even afford a $1.00 ice cream cone for her from King Cone most of the time. A 3 year old should not have to understand that. Anyways, she's been in daycare since she was 17 months and has been invited to all the little girls birthday parties for the last two years and now she really wants to have a party to invite her friends to, but my house isn't big enough to have a party with her friends and I can't afford to rent a hall or pay for Chuck e Cheese or something like that that she wants to do. Chuck e Cheese for 5 girls and 10 adults which wouldn't even include any family was like $150, I just can't do it. I just really want to give my little girl a birthday party with all her friends and family in one place on the same day that she can just have the time of her life and know that that day is just for her. She keeps telling me we need to make "cards" meaning invitations to give out in "school", aka daycare, but what am I supposed to write on them? You are invited to Aaliyah's birthday Party, but we can't afford to throw one. It makes me feel like a failure as a Mom sometimes. I love my kids with all my heart and I swear I'd do anything for either one, but I can't even give her the birthday party that she wants. I can't afford a hall, can't afford decorations...I need a hero. I need someone to help me make my baby girls dream come true....

I sent my offer Via a message. A small Chuck E Cheese party, that my family will pay for. Obviously I can't afford 10 adults too as I am also very low income. But I will do what I can.

I can't mark it as granted cause they said they are going to do it, but they still haven't reserved it yet for her. I hope they will though cause Aaliyah already handed out her invites. I don't know what we will do if they fall through. I have faith though.

MY DAUGHTER HAD HER BIRTHDAY PARTY AT CHUCKIE CHEESE, YOU JUST PAY FOR THE KIDS NOT THE ADULTS. HOW MANY CHILDREN WOULD SHE BE INVITING IF SHE HAD HER PARTY THERE? I ALSO KNOW IF YOU HAVE IT DURING THE WEEK ITS CHEAPER, NOT SURE IF THAT INCLUDES THE SUMMMERTIME, THE KIDS LOVE IT..THEY HAVE DIFFERENT THEMED PARTIES,UT THOSE ARE ALITTLE MORE PRICEY.

We have had many parties and been to many parties at parks without the use of a rented space....a picnic table is all you need! =)

Keep in mind that you don't have to have one of the parties at Chuck E Cheese to celebrate a birthday there. We have taken a few friends and cupcakes with us, using a coupon that we got from their email club for pizza, soda and tokens. Was way cheaper and the kids had a wonderful time. I know we would like to give our kids the world but if that is not possible, we have to do the next best thing. Good luck!

oh and our pavilion rentals at parks are anywhere from $40 up I already looked into it.

it's not so much the adults or my house it's the point of her wanting a party at like chuck e cheese or something and really it's not that much considering, I just can't afford to do it on my own. I want her to be able to do just one thing in her life that she's been asking for that means so much to her. Shes been talking about her birthday party sine the end of December. It just would mean so much to her.

I've had my kid's at a park before. Even some parks you can rent a picnic table covered spot (in case of rain) for about $10. Order about 2 pizzas, or make them which will be better cuz SHE can choose what kind of pizza to have, and it'll be cheaper, and make a homemade cake and you're set.

Would it be possible to gather her friends together at the park for homemade cupcakes? A child's birthday party is for the children....forget those 10 adults and focus just on the children! Honestly, they don't care about your house being big enough or fancy decorations. Kids love being together, playing and just plain having fun.....doesn't have to cost a lot.

No, more than one person can make an offer on your wish.

jamieg1215 10 months ago

if I except kimbaker's offer of just an Ecard does that mean that my wish is granted and no one else can make an offer?
