It has been a very tough year, I lost my job after hurting my back
and things have just gone down from there. Now my kids are excited
to get back to school and truth be told I'm terrified! I have
nothing for them yet and not sure other then lunches what I am
going to be able to get them.
I have a SK, grade 2 and grade 3 student this year, they all need
backpacks my SK would love Barbie, Tinkerbell or even something
girly, my grade 2 daughter would love Hello Kitty and my grade 3
son honestly would probably prefer something a solid color or red
and black together as he loves those two colors. Truth be told
beggers can't be choosers so anything would do. They all also need
lunch bags, theirs last year we washed the last day of school and
they just crumbled, no amount of sewing will keep them together
since they were the plastic material ones, they just keep
ripping.
They need markers, pencil crayons, pencils, erasers, ruler, crayons
and construction paper, indoor and outdoor shoes (size 11 girls,
size 2 girls and size 3 boys) and if I could find them each at
least a nice shirt for their first day it would totally make their
day girls size 5, girls size large, boys size medium. I need to get
their hair cut.
I know how important the first day of school was when I was little
and feel like a complete failure that I can't make it special for
them or provide them everything they need this year. I've called
all of the community centers to see if they offered assistance for
back to school but they were either already full or not in our
district. I'm so lost, any help would be very much appreciated. We
are located in Ontario, Canada Thank you hero's!
