2 year old just diagnosed with Luekemia, family needs travel expense donations

My friend's two year old son, Louie, was just diagnosed with leukemia. Little Louie's parents have insurance but will still need help to pay for the travel expenses. The family lives in Lovelock, Nevada and will be traveling 93 miles to Reno, Nv to receive Louie's chemo treatments. Louie's chemo treatments are estimated to last for 3 years.

I have known Louie's mom for 20+ years, and it breaks my heart to know that her family is going through this. I want to be there for her any way possible but at this very moment this is the best I can do. Please help me get them some travel funds so that they can spend every precious moment with their son, and not worrying about money.

Sending tons of prayers and hugs! I have a daughter who just relapsed with a rare form of leukemia and we are currently being treated almost 4 hours from home ... so I can understand what you are going through. Hope you find many heroes!

If I had the funds to donate, I would. Are Little Louie's parents in contact with the Ronald McDonald House in Reno? They are a very supportive place for parents and other family members of patients. If not, I hope that they will get into touch with them.
