Please help rest a humble but proud Sailor!

Granted by Heroes: Guest
We are looking for monetary donations for the services of a 20yr Navy Veteran who was taken from us all but too soon. This is my Papa Al. He was diagnosed July 22, 2012 with Stage 4 Esophageal Cancer. He fought as hard as he could, but the good Lord took him home just this Saturday, August 18, 2012...a short 27 days later. Mama is requesting help for covering his cremation, as she is not able to afford it, as she is homebound and cannot make ends meet alone.

With the help of an AMAZING manager of a Cremation company, they are allowing us to have them pick him up and able to do the cremation. However, we cannot bring his remains home until payment is made in full.

PLEASE help us bring him home where he belongs!

Thanks in advance for your kind and generous donation.

Thank you for the information but the site is just for honors not for monetary help. The VA only pays $300 and that is only a reimbursement after we have paid ALL expenses first.

Amhopkins is correct. Check this link out, it should be of great help to your family. http://www.militaryfuneralhonors.osd.mil/ I'm very sorry for your loss :(

If he was a member of Military I think they help with funeral expenses you should look into it. My step dad is a veteran and he said his expenses when he dies will be taken care of.
