School For A Special Child Called Sena
Sena is an orphan boy who and he suffers from cerebral palsy (since birth) which affects him neurologically and also causes physical disability. Although his disability doesn’t affect his mental ability to understand concepts, with ADHD he requires special attention. Due to the limitations in terms of schooling, resources and funds, he couldn’t benefit from the special care that he needed. Needless to say, he didn’t know his alphabet and could not even count at the age of 9.However, since he joined the Louis Centre there has been a marked improvement in his studies. His ability to stay on at the centre and catch up to his peers however, is uncertain at this point as fees are running out.
My quest is to raise RM 11,600 (fees from Mid Aug 2012 – Nov 2013) so that he can continue with his education and have a chance at a life he wouldn’t otherwise have. So far I have managed to raise RM 1895.
My wish is to raise another RM 9705 and I am hoping that someone out there will be able to help me make this wish come true so that this child can have an education that will help him come up in life. He may be handicapped and have learning disabilities but if you met him you will see what a down to earth child he is. He is always looking out for others and his amazing attitude towards life will surely bring a tear to your eye.
Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a huge difference in achieving this goal. Even a few ringgit contribution would be welcomed, because it would mean one less hour of school fees that needs to be raised! (It takes RM6 per hour to school Sena).
