My world is about to get darker. Electric gets shut off on August 31st. No light at end of tunnel.

Aloha,

Since my Husband was killed by a drunk driver more than 4 years ago I have been trying very hard to keep everything together. I have two boys and I work full time and have been able to make ends meet. recently my car broke down and it cost me over $1100 to fix. It used all my savings and took away from my ability to pay my electric bill last month and this month. I have no credit cards anymore and do not have family that can lend it. If there is a hero out there, I am praying you will see this. I owe $311 dollars and do not have anything toward it. The electric company will not extend credit and after trying unsuccessfully to work it out with them I have failed. I do not know what to do if they turn off my power! Please help me if you can. Power was shut off for 6 days so i have not been able to post. I just wanted to thank all of those who offered suggestions for my situation. Unfortunately a widowed mother who works does not have the same resources available that a welfare mother has. I struggle every day to put food on my table and keep my children happy. I have so many co-pay bills past due for everything from dental care to children's check ups that I must pay due to having a job instead of free welfare medical. I just put my children to bed and tried to find something for me to eat for dinner tonight. That did not work out so well. Another hungry night for me and I might as well give up on a hero. Past due bills, no money for the books the school wants the kids to have and about 37 cents to my name. My kids need something more than I can give them. I am a bad mom who cannot provide for my kids and I should have died instead of their father. Thanks anyway Wish upon a hero.

Thank you for the advice santachel I have and I do receive just enough assistance to pay for my 11 year old boy to a attend a school for children with Dyslexia. Thank you too flower lady I did in fact call them today but because I have full time job it is not considered a emergency for them and I have been sent a form to apply for aid and then they review to see if i qualify. I have four days left. I have a few ads on craigslist for some of the boys older clothes and still have hope that someone hears my prayers. Aloha

Hi, I know this may not help right away but have you considered or have you applied for survivor benefits for the children.
