My name is Candace I have a son with special needs, he is almost 15 months, he is cordically visually impaired, he has multifocal seizures and has cystic encephalomalacia. I am a single mom trying to make the best life I can for my developmentally delayed son. He currently does early intervention Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Eye Therapy (which hasnt gotten any better he can only see 18 inches in front of him) and Speech on a weekly basis and he starts medical daycare twice a week starting 9/12 to help with his progress as well. His cost of care is very overwhelming due to me only being able to work part time because I need to care for him. His physical therapist recommended baby proofing my home more so he doesnt get hurt and at the moment I cant get the things I need to do that right now. I just got another bill added to my monthly list of things to pay for which are my sons Sure Steps to help him walk and I just dont know when I will have the money to purchase these items I need for him.
