My name is Rosa Wilson and I have a 4yr old son who was diagnosed
with Autistic Spectrum Disorder which caused his speech delay and
developmental delays. My wish is to provide a learning tablet or
Ipad that comes with programs to aid in motivating my son to take
notice and learn. He has an extremely short attention span but
loves mechanical things such as remotes wherein he pushes a button
and sees the screen changes. I have heard many reports that reveal
how much they can learn from these gadgets. I need help in being
able to afford these gadgets as the ones that have the durability
required in case of drops (which will happen with children with
Autism)are really expensive. Please note, I titled the wish "A
Second Chance" as Mason had a near drowining and was hospitalized
7/2-6/2012 and since the accident he has been striving to learn but
becomes frustrated with the normal learning process. This is my
second chance to be a better mom as I could have lost him and I
have put all pride aside. Please help me help my son as I am a
currently out of work and seeking employment.
