Need Help With Food! And a wish for my 72 year old mom!

I am currently unemployed and need some help with food. Things have been really bad financially lately due to some medical issues. Also my mom's Birthday is Sept. 11th, she will be 72 and I would like to at least get her a card and a cake. I hate asking! But There is hardly a thing to eat in the house and Im tired of being hungry. And I really want to be able to get a card and cake for my mom because she has been thru so much mentally, physically, emotionally. She deserves at least a smile! Any help would be appreciated!
