Hi, I am a grandmother of 14 grandchildren, Due to a domestic violence situation that put my daughter in hospital and the abuser in jail my daughter and her four children now live with me.She has applied for public assistance but we are told it could take 45 days before she receives any assistance due to the extensive list of applications they already have.
I live on a very small amount I get from Social Security which is just enough to pay my bills and buy food for myself. I have visited Church food pantrys and got enough to last a few days but it will not last a month. Please, if you could see it in your heart to spare a few dollars so that I could buy fresh meat, vegetables, fuit, milk and juice I would be so very greatful.
