My son has Cerebral Palsy (spastic quadriplegia), and as part of
his day to day treatment, he wears DAFOs, which are ankle braces
designed to keep his heel cords stretched to prevent toe walking
and better formation and growth of his muscles. DAFOs take up quite
a bit of space in shoes, so he needs adaptive shoes, which are
outside of my budget. There is a perfect pair for him, the KPW11 on
the website keepingpace.com, in youth size 11. The shoes cost
$69.99 plus shipping. With his new pair of DAFOs, he needs this
larger size, because his current shoes are not working with them
and are just about giving out. He must have shoes to complete his
therapies and activities at school.
