Please help bring my girl home!

I have been communicating with my fiancee' overseas for 2 and a half years and I thought I had come up with enough money to bring her home. I have already invested almost $5,000 of my own money and I need a little help. This may seem trivial to some people, but this is my last chance at having a life with the woman I love. The government is requesting another $2,100 dollars before they will let her leave the country. If I cannot receive this granted wish, I will be heartbroken, because to know that we have come soo close to being together just to have our hopes dashed like this, would devastate both of us! I wish for you to know that this is a REAL relationship! She has the money for her papers, and the plane ticket home, but it is customs that is causing the problem. She just wished to bring me what she thought was a family heirloom. It is a beautiful vase. When she was going through customs, it was discovered that the vase was reported missing since 1912. She had no knowledge of this but was told that she should pass it down to her children. She is only 36 years old and all living relatives have since died. She tried to give the vase back and that is when they told her that she would need to pay the $2,100 dollars to clear up the matter and once the payment is received, they will then permit her to board a plane to come home. I am going to write her about you guys because you are our only hope, but I do not know how long customs will wait before they close the window of chance that we have to bring her home. They said if I do not come up with the money soon, they will not let her leave at all. I beg that anyone who reads this will find it in their hearts to PLEASE GRANT THIS WISH! We have lost all hope if you guys decide not to help, because I have no other way to get her home. Please do not let that happen..please! I am in tears and in total desperation hoping that somehow, some way a miracle will happen and I will be able to marry my bride. Thanks for your help!

I debated on coming back and posting again, yet here I am. Please check out the "romance scam" indicators on the website for the U.S. embassy.

I feel for you, but I agree with the others that more than likely this is a scam. Please don't spend any more of your money pursuing this :(

I agree this does sound like a scam and it is heartbreaking that you have already spent 5000 0f your own money and now for just 2100 more you will get you love. What country is this? It would raise a flag to me that his vase has been missing 100 years and now for the price of just 2100 all will be cleared up. I would think a 100 year old heirloom vase would be worth far more than 2100 but that is just my opinion. I hope this is not hte case but let me also sat that 5000 would buy alot of dates her in the US. I understand that the heart knows no borders but for a woman you have never met only on the internet this could be a man pretending to be a woman or an organization that just takes and takes. I hope you get this resolved in some manner but my opinion is that sending another 2100 would be only wasting the money. Why not tell her to come and leave the vase? You can buy many vases for 2100. Dont mean to sound harsh but reality is reality and this does not seem like reality. P

I recently went to seminar about scam recognized by the US government and this was one of them almost word for word, but a different heirloom was involved. I feel sad about this for you.

Honey, this is a scam. Please do not fall for it. She most likely has several other "fiances" that have also paid the "fine" for her. I've worked at a western union site for quite a while and seen more than a few of these situations. I hope you find someone you can love, but it will not be someone you've never met. Best wishes on your future.
