My name is Denise and I am making this wish for my god son and god daughter whom I have taken over care of as their mother is terminally ill. We went and picked them up two weeks ago because her health had gotten so bad that she was having a hard time getting up and doing basic daily things to care for her and the kids. When we moved them they had only clothes and two toys to bring with them. I have paid the bills in our home for the month of November and gotten everything thing of basic’s they need. My wish though is for Christmas. I know with the economy the way it is and multiple trips to iowa city to the neurofibromatosis clinic as well as the neurologist for Sammy and the orthopedic surgeon for Alora Christmas is going to be tight. Alora and Sammy are 4 year old fraternal twins who have both been diagnosed with neurofibromatosis type 1 since they were 2. Sammy has seizures and has over 500 spots that will eventually turn into tumors on the nerve endings where the café-au-lait spots currently are. They both have speech and developmental delays as well as emotional delays for which we are getting treatment started. Alora will be having surgery to correct the bowing in her legs as well as correct the fact one leg is shorter then the other. They are both happy and never expect anything. I am wishing for help to provide them with their first real Christmas. They have never seen Santa never had a Christmas tree or presents to open on Christmas day. Any help even in a small way would help create a first Christmas for these two loving kids that is 4 years in the making. I have with the help of the twins put together a wish list of things that they would like
