My fiance is a C5-C6 incomplete quadriplegic. His injury was
sustained from a diving accident in 2005. He is by far one of the
most personable and caring individuals you will ever meet. He is
determined to one day walk again, but for now is confined to a
wheelchair. One of his battles has been trying to obtain a
wheelchair accessible vehicle for his power chair. His sister
(primary caretaker for the last 7 years) has helped in the
relentless search for grants,etc to no avail. Due to lack of
accessible transportation, he has to miss out on man life events
such as his daughter's band competitions and must take EMS
transport to doctor's appointments. His quality of life would be
greatly improved by having an accessible vehicle. Unfortunately
with an income sustained only by SSI, affording one is something he
only dreams of. Please help grant my wish and give him the quality
of life he deserves thru granting him an accessible vehicle!
