I'm a 44 yr. old single disabled woman in Philadelphia, PA with no
money & no way to get food right now. Thank to our Governor, in
August a new state budget was passed & cut off my Cash
Assistance, currently leaving me with no income. (Although I am
appealing a decision by Social Security denying me Disability &
SSI, but that will take 12-16 months) & my food stamps were cut
off @ the beginning of this month. I can not work due to my
multiple medical problems, including Primary Pulmonary
Hypertension, Degenerative Arthritis behind both of my Kneecaps
& a Bulging disk in my back (which leaves me in excruciating
& unrelenting pain 24/7)& both the back & knee problems
make it difficult for me to get around. And I take 12 medications a
day for all of my medical problems. Right now because I have no
money & with my food stamps being cut off, I have no way to buy
food, so I am asking for help. Gift cards would help me to buy food
@ the stores. There is a Super Walmart only a few blocks from my
house, so gift cards from Walmart would be wonderful if someone
could give me one. I am also not far from Target, Pathmark &
Superfresh (the last 2 being Supermarkets near me in Philadelphia,
PA). Any help anyone could give me would be greatly appreciated!
And gift cards to these stores would be used for food and basic
necessities, not anything frivolous. Thank you!
