To make my sons day special

My son is going to be getting a hero award in March for saving his baby sisters life from a drowning accident she had back in August. I would really like to make it a special day for him to show appreciation of him using his quick thinking, and staying calm. After all the bills from her accident and now a garnishment on my husbands paychecks, we wont have the money to make his day special. I know this wish may not come true, but if there are any heroes out there that can help me out, I will be very grateful.

    I, too, think your son is a hero. I can offer a couple of small things to add to your package of goodies. You definitely have a reason to be proud of him!

    OH MY I just read both those articles and I have tears in my eyes. Your son is a true HERO!
    I think one way we as a group can help is to send cards to him. Perhaps those who can could put a dollar or two in them or a gift card. You could collect them and give them to him on that day. I for one would love to send a card to him to tell him how proud i am of him.

Just got the invitations on the mail on Saturday, and his ceremony is on March 7th.

I have a number for a lady that makes homemade cakes. Email me and I will give it to you. I can prepay her for a nice sheet cake and you can work it out with her to pick a design. She advertises on craigslist.org a lot and I am going through her for my daughters' birthday cakes this year. Your little hero definately deserves some sugar for that! scoyhisotr@comcast.net

You still havent recieved your invations? I wish I could get him & your husdand something for being your daughters heros but I just spent my last $2 on an eye exam but if I can find something here or find stuff to make something I can send them or bring them by for you. I hope that this can get granted like your pampered wish :)

I dont know really. With this hero award banquet, it not just him but other people as well, and I was looking at hopefully doing something for just him. We dont know exactly when it is in march, we are waiting for the invitations.
