Encouragement and help with SuperHuman Syndrome

I joined the WUAH family to help others in need. This was perfect for me, it gave me a reason to get up everyday. I NEVER planned on making a wish for myself, but here I am and this is hard for me because I am a giver not a taker. All I want is ENCOURAGEMENT. When I first got on here I was so excited to be a part of this wonderful community that I got extremely carried away in offering to grant wishes. I have made some really great friends on here and have spent countless hours trying to help them on my own - well, I found out that I am not the SuperHuman that I thought I was, lol. I selfishly am asking for words of encouragement and maybe even some cards that I can look at to keep me going. I have read other wishes where there are offers that turn out to be no-shows and I fear that families I have offered to think that of me. I got sick and forget that I have physical limitations and have gotten behind in granting the wishes. Anyone that I have offered to grant your wish, just know that I am not a no-show - just a slow-show. I WILL DO what I promised and sincerely apologize for being late or slow and hope I have not disappointed any of you. I have had a rough time lately and am feeling really discouraged because I feel like I am letting people down and I can't stand that thought. I haven't been able to help some dear friends that are in desparate need of help. I have done all I can and it is just not enough. I am having a hard time dealing with that because I want to fix everything for everybody. I know I can't but I really, really want to. I know not all wishes are possible of being granted but I want them to be. I would like to see every single wish granted. I have so much admiration for all the super heros on here that do for others even when they are going through tough times themselves. I feel selfish wasting wish space for this but I just need to know that everything is ok and need someone to help me get over the SuperHuman Syndrome, lol. Thank you all!

    On the way Beth. Its strange how we can get carried away with this site. I have decided to Grant at least one wish a month with $$$ and others with cards and smaller stuff.     I would be honored to send you a card with words of encouragement. I have suffered from SuperHuman Syndrome myself on WUAH. It's hard for me to look at wishes and not being to at least help to grant them. I mainly grant card wishes but I wish I could do so much more and that time will come someday in the near future but in the meantime I do what I can. But even just being present in the forums and showing people your support through your words and in the comment sections are the marks of a true hero as well. For those who cannot grant wishes due to financial reasons just being there is enough. Let me know your address and I will send you a very nice card :)

    Okay, you got me---I'm also stricken w/the SuperHuman Syndrome, as I can identify w/most of the symptoms you describe. Recognizing one's own limitations and ACCEPTING them is difficult---tend to overspend or reach out w/offers of help. I have to force myself to STOP and catch up by taking some time to put things together and get them mailed. (I'm down to only about 10 to fulfill--at this moment.) I often didn't know where I needed to stop to prevent me from needing help...b/c I really do put everyone else before myself and I think like you do.     Please do not feel bad. I have done the same thing with making wishes. Life happens and it sometimes gets in the way from doing things. If you ever see my diningroom table, you would see packages, cards and letters all needing to go out. I am so afraid the the wishers of the wishes I offered to grant will think I flaked on them. Don't be so hard on yourself. This wish of yours is actually a blessing to me today because I was feeling like I was letting people down by not sending out wishes as quickly as I had hoped to. Truth is, finances, my Momma's safety being compromised and now I am sick. These are things that happen to all of us and not something we set out to do. I love granting wishes and get excited too and I pray that the wishers understand and you what? They do. Please be gentle with yourself as you are a kind soul.     I know how you feel! Me and baby Leightyn got a little carried away this week trying to grant as many wishes as possible before her surgery tomorrow! I stayed up late into the night writing out all of our cards I try to put a personal message in each one so it takes some time lol! We will gladly send you a card as well, to thank you for the offer on our wish and for all you do for others on here.     It is better to give than to receive. I, because of my physical limitations and $ limitations can ONLY give words of encouragement, love, strength and hope. I know how you must feel, and I have learned - the hard way too - that it is better to give what you can as you can when you can than to promise more than you can come through with at the time. I know your heart is big and awesome and it is wonderful that you love others and wish to help - keep it up!! People are very understanding, they are. I think it is wonderful to simply have the "giving spirit" in your heart. I'll give you the simple words my beloved mother use to tell me and it helped me through crisis after crisis - "it will be okay, it will" - and you know what - it was. God bless you honey :)

    You know what? Your wish may seem like a request, but it is really a gift to others. By posting your heartfelt thoughts about your situation, it allows others to see that they are not the only ones who stumble a bit. We are all in this together, but sometimes it takes seeing someone else show their vulnerable side before we can accept our own shortcomings. WE should all be as kind to ourselves as we are to others, right?

I want to say a sincere THANK YOU to everyone that gave encouraging words and understood my problem. I appreciate all the cards more than any of you will ever know. As someone else already said, your words are really a gift to the rest of us. Ans as someone who also feels discouraged at times by my inability to help as much as I wish I could, its somehow helpful to know there are heroes feeling the same way. Oh bagrant, this is a very nice wish, and don't feel selfish for it. you sound like a wonderful person with a very big, caring heart.
