I WISH for help with emergency vet bills

We have been caring for our neighbors outdoor cat Sunshine. She does not allow him into her home, or provide him with food or water. We have been taking care of him, and had set an appointment with the vet for next month. We had worked out with our animal control officer to assume ownership.
This morning sunshine came in with a badly injured foot. I fear that it is broken. We need to get him to the vet, and there are no emergency assistance programs. Sunshine will need X-rays, an exam, medication,bandaging, and an emergency visit fee. We need to raise $300. Any help at all will be so deeply appreciated, I am so worried about him.

  Okay I cant edit but I want to put this up for everyone to see. Sunshine is no longer in need of finanacial donations. I am taking this wish down tommorow. I just wanted to leave it tonight to let everyone know how we made out. With the donation from CarolinaMomz, my money, my grandma sent some, and my neighbor, we were able to take him to the vet this evening. He had a damaged ligament in his leg, and a nasty infection. He is going to be okay. Maybe a limp, but should pull through. We are definately keeping him, and if anyone wants to send him a card, or toy mousey that would be awesome, but we don't need $$$ anymore. Thanks To All who prayed for us :) HUGS HUGS

  I do not seem to be able to edit, but here is what is going on right now. I have an application for financial aid, but I can not apply until after We see the vet. I am still $45 short for the emergency visit fee. I have a check coming by mail, but it has not come yet. On monday I am going to see if the vet will see him, and hold/board him against my husbands check next week.
  Kitty is in rough shape, his toes have turned black. I have kitty antibiotics that I am giving him in the interim. Not sure if he is going to have to lose his leg or not, but please keep him in your thoughts and prayers. My check did not come today, so am freaking out a little. I hope and pray that on Monday the vet will take him for treatment.

  Okay, I have an application for FVEAP, but I can not submit it until after we see the vet. So I still need to raise a little bit of funds for the initial fees. If we are approved for assistance which would rock, I will definately update. Hopefully this might be a program that can help us. Thank you so much for the great leads! :D

  I just called to double check, and unfortunately they can only offer a discount coupon for spay/neuter. Other than that they can only euthanize. I think it is because we live in a rural area, and may have less funding :( But Thank You for the good advice .

  contact your local animal shelter they usually have coupons for vets for like 50 percent off and stuff like that. I hope that helps. Good luck
