I WISH for busfare to get to my NEW JOB!
Last month I got on this site for the first time, wishing for help
with paying rent because I'd gotten laid off from my job and was in
danger of getting askd to leave (I'd only been here a month then,
and had no lease). Anyway, a terrific hero helped me - and while I
hate asking again, I am happy to say this wish is better.
I landed a job this past Monday! Not a great job - but darn it, a JOB; some INCOME! I am totally behind in June rent - but more to the point, I'm supposed to start my job on Monday ... and literally have NO money for busfare. I used my last $2.50 for a daypass to get to the interview, and don't even have funds for groceries - but right now, I am just trying to secure funds to at least get to work for the first 3 weeks, until I get my first check.
At $2.50/day for 3 weeks, that would be $37.50 to take the bus to work, roundtrip. My wish is for at least some of that, so I can take this job that I've finally been offered - and have worked hard to find. I was even considering relocating to Seattle recently, to stay with a friend, because I couldn't even get $$ for groceries - but now really want to make this work, and stay and be self-sufficient again.
So my wish - $37.50 for 3 weeks of busfare, and perhaps a $50 Walmart gift card to cover food. THAT would be a dream come true - either one - and make me able to take this job and feel a part of society again.

Many thanks for the good wishes - even if I have to go without food, I would just hate to not get this job because I can't get there! Also, thanks to those who do understand I am trying; sometimes am down to one meal a day, but even with that I'm trying to keep my faith.

I don't have a bank account; money's been tight enough ever since I moved here, I haven't even been able to hold onto enough $$ to open an account. My friend did help me with receiving funds once before, via paypayl, which is how I know he only does it the one way - like some people can be, he's very odd when it comes to money. With my first wish, the person ended up having to Moneygram the funds.

Do you have a bank account you can do paypal or can you friend put you on his bank acct so you can link paypal? You can get instant money in paypal and get a debit card through them to use. It's something to think about for later but if someone helps its still going to take a few says so check with him and let us know.

I wish I could help you with this wish, but am unable to at this time. I do however pray that you find all the financial heros you need to fulfill this wish. You are trying so hard and that is an admirable trait. God Bless You

I don't, but have a best friend who does - although he tends to wait until the money's cleared all the way through to his bank to get it out, which can take 3-5 business days.
